A new experience to the Caribbean section of Cuba on the southern coast of the island
Cienfuegos, also known as The Pearl of the South, was founded in 1819 by French. It is a maritime town with very well preserved historical buildings and one of the most captivating bays in the Caribbean Sea. Its historical center was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.
The Bay of Pigs, located on the southern coast of the province of Matanzas, is part of the Península de Zapata National Park, a huge swamp, partially covered by forest that treasures one of the most complete wildlife reserve in the geographic area, also declared Reserve of the Biosphere by UNESCO. The Caribbean coast, with its sandy beaches and the very well preserved coral reef, attracks divers and water sports practitioners from all over the world.
