Havana is becoming more and more popular by these days. Its charms attracts visitors from all over the world, many of them come looking for history and culture, some others for fun and leisure, a lot of them have even found love but what they all really miss on the way back home is the pleasure of having tried what we call “The Golden Triangle”, made of cuban cigars, rum and coffee. Bars are the perfect places to have them together and share good time with friends and relatives by enjoying cuban music and having some drinks, accompanied by a habano cigar and a cup of the best cuban coffee.   1. El Floridita: Known as “The Cradle of Daiquiri” because it was the place where that famous drink was first made. It became one of the Ernest Hemingway’s favorite places in Havana since he adviced: “My mojito in La Bodeguita, my daiquiri in El Floridita”. A bronce statue of the american writer at the end of the counter honors the best friend of the bar. It is regarded as one of the Seven Greatest Bars of the World.
  2. La Bodeguita del Medio: The place where you can have the best Mojito in Havana, has been visited by some outstanding celebrities of the world like Nat King Cole, Errol Flynn, Brigitte Bardot, Pablo Neruda, Ernest Hemingway and many other writers, artists and politicians. It is the only place in the city where you can write your name on the walls. The bar has been reproduced in many other countries like Mexico, Australia, Argentina and also in the most important tourist destinations all along Cuba.
  3. Sloppy Joe´s: It was opened in 1917, being the first of its type in the world. It became very popular during the 20´s when it was visited by Garry Cooper, John Wayne and Babe Ruth. After a big renovation, the place was reopened during the 90´s, keeping the original menú and table wares. Still today, it is the best place to have a good Cuba Libre.
  4. Two Brothers: Because of its location by the sea, this famous bar was frecuently visited by sailors, popular street musicians and some celebrities like Marlon Brandon, Enrique Serpa, Federico García Lorca, Errol Flynn, Alejo Carpentier among others. All of them helped to create a very special atmosphere where you can try good wines and a very fresh seafood offer.
  5. O´Reilly 304: It is located in the middle of the Old Havana, only 100 meters from Obispo street and very close to museums, hotels and souvenir markets. Recently opened as part of the new private sector in the country, it offers a wide variety of cocktails, wines and snacks. Due to its excellent service and reliability, it is today among the most populars new bars of Havana.

  • Optional visit to the Havana Club Rum Museum to be in contact with the process of production of rum. (admission fee: pay on spot, one shot included)
  • Walking tour around the Old Havana, including Arms Square, Saint Francis of Assisi Square, Old Square, Cathedral Square, Ambos Mundos Hotel and Central Park area.
  • While walking arround, we will stop at some of the famous bars of the city like La Bodeguita del Medio, El Floridita, Sloppy Joe´s, Two Brothers and O´Reilly 304 to have some drinks. (one drink included in one of the bars)
  • Optional lunch break. Our suggestion is to try typical Cuban food at a local Paladar.
  • Optional visit to El Palacio de la Artesanía where a Habano Sommelier will teach us how to mix cigars, rum and coffee. (that includes a shot of Havana Club Aged rum, a cup of cuban coffee and one cuban cigar. Pay on spot)
  • Visit to a cigars, rum and coffee shop to buy some.
  • Free time at the Flea Market.
  • Drive back to the accommodation.
